EXPOSURE: A Conference Exploring Vulnerability featured a variety of local Chicago artists presenting creative "papers" in response to the topic of vulnerability. Curated by Clover Morell and Sarah Norell.
What does vulnerability look like? Is vulnerability disappearing in our media based, virtual culture? How can the use of vulnerability be a transgressive or political act? Where does vulnerability reside in the exchange between artist & audience? How does vulnerability play a role in the making of art?
Each artist responded to the topic in their own creative way resulting in some unique, powerful and vibrant meditations on the topic. Presentations were followed by a Q&A with the audience.
Artists: Anida Yoeu Ali, Sebastian Alvarez, Asimina Chremos, Kallie Clark, Julie Laffin, and Jenny Magnus, Matt Marcum, Marissa Perel and 3Card Molly.
